Weekly update Thursday 21st September 2023

Our Vision
We believe that our children should have the aspiration and opportunity to ‘Live life in all its fullness and ‘Shine like stars in the sky’.

New this week…

Website and Email Communication

As you may be aware, we have been experiencing difficulties with the website which has impacted on parents receiving messages from school to certain types of email accounts.
This problem does not lie with school but with the website provider and Microsoft.
Our website provider is aware of this problem and is working hard to find solutions to this for us whilst investigating further more long term solutions with Microsoft.
Moving forward, to ensure that all parents receive the communication needed, the website provider is implementing one solution which will be in place by early next week.
Once this is in place, we will contact parents to communicate these changes and with any information you need moving forward. This will be sent home by email, as a paper copy and posted to the website to ensure everyone receives this.
We thank parents for their patience whilst the provider rectifies the situation.

Jeans for Genes Day 2023

As you know, we shall be supporting Genes for Jeans tomorrow by inviting the children to come to school in jeans or other casual clothes. We shall be collecting donations towards this very worthy cause. If you would prefer to donate online, you can do so here:

http://www.justgiving.com/jeansforgenesday22970

The Jeans for Genes campaign raises awareness of the daily challenges faced by those living with a genetic condition and raises money to fund projects that make a tangible difference to the lives of those affected.

Most importantly, the campaign:

· Brings together the genetic condition community in order to make a loud noise about the issues that matter to them;
· Shines a light on the organisations that work tirelessly to improve the lives of affected individuals;
· Celebrates the achievements of those living with a genetic condition.

Please take a look at their Funding in Action page to learn more about the lasting impact your Jeans for Genes donations make.

Harvest Festival
We will be holding a Harvest Breakfast Service in school on Friday 29th September at 9:15am which all parents are invited to. Parents are invited to hear about our community project plans for the year head and then to share in a Harvest Breakfast prepared by the children for members of our school and local community.
 For anyone who wishes to donate, we will be collecting dry or tinned foods to make up care packages for the elderly in our community, please bring this in by Wednesday 27th September.

Advertising School
We are currently advertising and promoting school to prospective parents. We would welcome your support in this. If you can drop a poster off to any appropriate places where these may be seen, please drop into reception to collect.
