Messages from the community

Dear parents, carers, grandparents and friends,

The Friends of St. Nicholas School have a large stock of preloved school uniform for sale. All the items are in good, usable condition and many are nearly new. The prices are very low and it helps out the school and the environment.

Please have a scroll through the attached list and if you see anything you like please send a text to Jennifer Whitehouse on 07824 355024 to arrange collection before the end of the year.

Many thanks,
The Friends of St. Nicholas School

Exciting news for the summer holidays...

West Tanfield Tennis Club have very generously offered families at our school the opportunity to play tennis for free on Friday afternoons during the school holidays.

The club will open the courts from 2.00 to 4.00pm on Friday afternoons, from the 29th of July until the 1st of Sept for children from our school.

Children can play providing they come with an adult (parent or friend) who may also play and who must be responsible for their behaviour and safety whilst they are at the courts.

A club member will open the courts at 2.00pm and close them at 4.00pm; school will provide rackets for the children to use, and the club will provide tennis balls.

There is no need for families to book.

A huge thank you to the tennis club for this very kind offer. We hope that families enjoy this opportunity over the summer.

Riverside Service Joint Benefice Service Sunday 30th July 10.45am
A glorious opportunity for families to come together, at the riverside, in West Tanfield. This beautiful service is followed by lunch. If you would like to stay for lunch, please let Christopher Bourne-Arton know: cwbatanfieldlodge@btinternet.com or 01677 470385

This is always a lovely occasion however, falling in the school holidays, I know that often many families are away.  If any children are around and would like to take part in the service itself, please do let me know as soon as possible via email at: senco@west-tanfield.n-yorks.sch.uk
