After School Club

For regular bookings please complete the form Booking Form Before and After School Clubs  before the start of each term and email to admin@west-tanfield.n-yorks.sch.uk

We offer high quality ‘wrap around care’ before and after school to meet the needs of our families to enable them to balance work and family commitments, run by staff familiar to the children from school.

We provide:
  • A warm, caring and stimulating environment for children aged 3-11 years
  • A committed team of caring adults with enhanced DBS checks and Level 2 Paediatric Training
  • An environment that encourages the development of social skills and independence
  • Safe and well-designed indoor and outdoor spaces
We provide care every day during the school term:

Monday to  Thursday afternoons – 3.30pm – 5.25pm

The above times have been agreed after consultation with parents to ensure we meet current demand. This is revaluated annually with parents.

Sessions cost £5 per hour. We ask that all sessions are booked in advance. Children who stay on after 4.30 pm are offered a light tea. Drinks are avaialble for all throuhgout both sessions. A late collection fee of £5 is charged per late collection after 5:25pm.

  • Computers and technology, games etc.
  • Support with homework
  • Crafts including needlework, knitting and art
  • Themed activities – Christmas, Easter, Mothering Sunday etc.
  • Cultural activities
  • Story time
  • Cookery evenings
  • Film night
  • Unstructured play
