Weekly Update 19.09.25
19 Sep 2025
We believe that our children should have the aspiration and opportunity to ‘Live life in all its fullness’ and ‘Shine like stars in the sky’.
BEWERLEY PARK
Please forgive the brevity of this week’s update – it has been a full-on week for those of us at Bewerley Park! We must congratulate all the children on their resilience, teamwork and exemplary behaviour throughout their time away. The Y3/4s exceeded our expectations in how independent they were, from making their beds and keeping their rooms ready for ‘dorm inspections’ to packing their own suitcases and stripping their beds at the end of their stay. A particular shout out goes to the boys in Beech 1 who blew us away with their organisation and camaraderie! It seems that the children have brought their confidence and ‘can-do’ attitudes home with them, as they all arrived back at school yesterday with big smiles on their faces, full of enthusiasm and positivity about all their achievements. We look forward to welcoming the Y5/6s home later today and hearing all about their further adventures. We hope you have enjoyed the daily updates. If you have missed them coming through, please take a look at the School News and Events section of the website.
AFTER-SCHOOL CLUB
We would like to welcome Mrs Helen Dibb who will be joining our team of after-school club leaders from Monday. Just a reminder that booking forms for Breakfast Club and after-school childcare can be found on our school website under the Parents tab. Click below to access:

WORD OF THE WEEK
To help children develop their vocabulary and a love of words, a focus ‘word of the week’ is introduced each week for the children to investigate. This week’s word is:
endeavour
The children are encouraged to find out what the word means and perhaps use it in a sentence or explore its etymology. Their efforts are then displayed in the hall. Although aimed more at the KS2 children, everyone is welcome to join in.
Reminders
BUSY END
Parents and carers are welcome to come in to classrooms at the earlier time of 3pm on Monday to join us for our ‘busy end’. Do pop in if you can as the children would love to share some of their achievements with you.
News from the wider community
FAMILY WORSHIP
Our next service at St Nicholas Church will be on
Sunday 28th September at 9.15am. For many years children from our school have contributed to this monthly service by reading, carrying out jobs such as giving out hymn books and participating in activities. As well as their presence bringing much joy to the wider community, the children’s contributions also enable them to become confident communicators. All welcome but if your child(ren) would like to help by reading, please let Miss Mandelson know as soon as possible.
