Our Vision
We believe that our children should have the aspiration and opportunity to ‘Live life in all its fullness and ‘Shine like stars in the sky’.
Weekly Update Thursday 29th February 2024
New this week…
It is a busy week next week! As well as
World Book Day on
Thursday, it is
International Women’s Day on
Friday 8th March. This year, we intend to tie this in with our PSHE work on ‘Money and Work’. We shall be thinking about jobs and careers with a particular focus on women who work in the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). We hope to arrange for the children to chat to some inspirational women about their careers during the week commencing
11th March. We have a few ideas but would really like to hear from anyone who might be able to help with this. Please let us know if you or someone you know would be able to spare 30 mins to come into school or chat via Zoom.
PSHE Busy End – Clever Never Goes
You will remember that PCSOs Heather and Charlotte called into school in December to talk to the children about the Clever Never Goes message. We are delighted that they shall be returning on
Thursday 14th March to check-in with the children about this…and possibly answer a few questions about their careers in the Police. Parents and carers are warmly invited to pop in anytime from
2:45pm to join these sessions if interested to hear more. PCSOs Heather and Charlotte will also be around in the playground after school if you want to catch them for a chat or any advice.
Parking
We would like to kindly ask parents not to park on the verges or roads right outside school, for politeness and consideration for the residents, and the safety of our children.
NSPCC online safety workshop for parents will take place on
Tuesday 5th March between
17:30-18:30.
Reminders
World Book day
World Book day is fast approaching. This year, we are asking children to bring in their most favourite book to share, a prop that represents this book to them. The children will be taking part in a very special hidden book reveal and story time and will then have time to do their own mystery book reveal where they use their props and clues to guess each others books, with time to share and enjoy these afterwards.
Coming Up...
JAM – Messy Church
Our next popular
JAM session will take place in the school hall on
Tuesday 12th March 3.30 – 5.00. More details and information on how to sign up to follow…

Online Gaming - Roblox
Online gaming can be great fun for our children and we teach widely in school about how to be safe when playing online. A game we know many of our children (across the school) enjoy is Roblox. This site can be suitable for wide age-range but needs to be managed carefully with support from adults at home. Please see the following website for specific information and advice to support you at home:
