Weekly update and the new year
This is our final weekly update this term. Thank you for all your support this term. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas break and new year. School closes at 2pm on Friday 22nd December and reopens on Tuesday 9th January 2024
 
Clubs
Just a reminder there are no clubs next week.
Clubs for next term will be out soon so keep a look out.
 
School Nativity
The school nativity will be held on Tuesday 19th of December, at 10am and 2pm at the Methodist Chapel across from school. Children will be dismissed from the chapel. Any children who do not have parents in attendance will be brought back to school and dismissed at 3;30pm as usual.
 
Carols around the tree
Our carols around the tree will be held on 22nd December at 9am in the school hall.
The 'friends' will be providing refreshments.
 
St Nicholas Church Carol Service
Will be held on Sunday 17th of December at 6pm. All welcome.
 
Christmas lunch and Christmas Jumper Day.
Is on Wednesday 20th. Children can come in non-uniform and wear a Christmas jumper for our Christmas lunch day. A reminder that children will also still need their forest school outfits this day in Years Nursery, Reception, Three Four, Five and Six
 
Science Workshop
On Tuesday 9th January we have another Science Workshop, this time on Electricity with Wild Science.  KS2 will be: discussing being safe around electricity, making and testing different circuits and investigating different electrical components.  It should be a wonderful session with lots of hands-on activities and learning. 


Reminders 

Forest School
Rocket class, (Nursery, Reception, years 1 and 2) will be working on our golden thread, be creative, in forest school on Friday 15th December.
 
 
Winter Reading Challenge
We were thrilled that so many of our children took part in the Summer Reading Challenge, this year the reading agency are running a mini winter challenge please follow the link to join in and read along.
