Ripon Fire Brigade Visit
24 Nov 2021
We had a fantastic visit from Ripon Fire Brigade yesterday. Olivia and Autumn report:
Yesterday, the Ripon Fire Brigade came to our school to tell us about fire safety, and taught us the fire motto - which was: Get out! Get the Fire Brigade out! Stay out!
They also told us about fire hazards like candles, cookers, fire places and so much more. There were cool resources inside the fire engine like hoses, torches and first aid kits. They also showed us their protective gear that they wore. There was: a helmet, a jacket, an oxygen tank and boots. They looked ready to tackle a fire.
The fire engine was HUGE and it was red and yellow, it also had lights for warning people they were there, the sirens on it were VERY loud.
We want to say a big thank you to them for giving up their time to come to our school.

Jenson and Matilda were our official photographers for the day and took some great images
The Comet Class have designed some great posters following the Fire Service motto
Get Out!
Get the Fire Brigade Out.
Stay Out!
Your child should have brought home a little card which allows you to access support from the Fire Service if you do not have a smoke alarm at home. The Fire Service also apoke about putting together a fire plan so everyone in your family/household know what to do if there ever was to be a fire.
