European Day of Languages 2022
Ripon Secondary Schools are really excited to announce the first ever Ripon Languages Trail, to be held between Mon 26 Sept and Sun 2 Oct, in celebration of European Day of Languages 2022. Please see attached poster. Entry forms will be available on September 23
rd from the School office, and can be returned to Ripon Library, Oliver's Pantry or The Little Ripon Bookshop from Mon 26 September.
All correct entries will go into a prize draw, with three winners receiving some languages-themed prizes, book tokens and sweets/chocolate.
Influenza Immunization Program
On Tuesday 1
st November Flu vaccinations will be given in School. If you are happy for your child to have this, please complete the online
consent form that was sent out earlier this week. The deadline for this is 21
st October 2022.
Lost Property
Please could everyone check at home to see if they have any items of sports kit/ forest school clothing that doesn’t belong to them as we have some missing. If you do, please drop these into the School office.
Jeans for Genes Day
Jeans for Genes Day is the annual fundraising campaign for Genetic Disorders UK, the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by a genetic disorder. The monies raised on Jeans for Genes Day provide grants for day-to-day support, equipment, respite and events which bring together affected children and their families. if your child would like to wear jeans for school on that day there is a £1.00 donation which will go to the charity. The GoTo
North Yorkshire County Council jointly with the NHS have created a new website to help support mental health within young people. This new website is dedicated to helping children and young people find mental health support in North Yorkshire.
The Go-to is a portal or ‘single point of information’ for mental health support services offered by different agencies in the county. With lots of useful tips, information and signposting the site has specific ‘young person’, ‘parent/carer’ and ‘professional’ tabs for easy navigation.
