Children in Need 2021
19 Nov 2021
This year we celebrated the 'Get your strictly on' theme of Children in Need with our very own 'St Nicholas Has Talent' show. Our fantastic children did not let us down and we were treated to an array of talents! The event was organised and compered by our very own Mrs 'Claudia Winkleman' Taylor who introduced her team of knowledgeable judges...
From left to right: Mrs 'Darcey Bussell' Cornforth, Mrs 'Craig Revel-Horwood' Clegg, Mrs 'Tess Daley' Walker, Miss 'Motsi Mabuse' Mandelson and head judge Mrs 'Shirley Ballas' Sharpley
A number of children took to the stage with a wide range of acts, including poetry, football skills, dance, singing, magic and comedy. Take a look at some of the entrants below:
Not to be outdone, some children chose to showcase their creative skills through art, each presenting a unique art work for the judges' consideration:
And finally, we were joined by Sharon 'Prue Leith' Flowers Ellis and Mrs 'Mary Berry' Umpleby to judge our very own 'Great Tanfield Bake-off'. Just look at the treats we were presented with:
Judges scores were used for guidance only as the voting was then opened to the audience - our wonderful, supportive children who had loved every minute of the show. We enjoyed a lovely lunch whilst the votes were being counted and then the winners of each category were announced:
Once again the children have showed that we 'may be a small school, but we have a big heart'. We are so proud of our confident communicators and wonderfully creative children. We had so much fun whilst raising money for this very worthwhile cause. It is not too late to make a donation as we won't be sending off the money collected until the end of next week. Watch this space for the total amount raised...
