Bird Box fun!

Panther class have been thinking about our locality. We talked about the effect of all the new housing developments in the area and all the animals that were losing their habitats. We conducted some research into how many bird species have been lost in the last five years and how many more were endangered. We wanted to help entice wildlife back to our local area so decided to build bird houses. We looked at many different designs, evaluated them and then designed our own. Huge thanks to Duffield Timber who kindly donated some wood. We have spent the last few weeks building them. The children have thoroughly enjoyed making them and are looking forward to putting them up in the local area next week.
