COVID-19 Procedures For Reporting

25 Jan 2021

COVID reporting during term time:

Where a pupil or staff member tests positive for COVID-19, the school should be contacted at the earliest opportunity via the office phone or the admin email address, as well as following the NHS Track and Trace instructions.

This will allow school to risk assess which pupils and staff may be required to self-isolate by following PHE guidance.

Should someone in their household be sympotomatic and need to be tested or test positive for COVID-19, the pupil should stay at home and follow the self isolation guidance provided by track and trace. The school should be contacted at the earliest opportunity via the office phone or the admin email address.

COVID-19 reporting during holiday periods:

Where a pupil or staff member tests positive for COVID-19, having developed symptoms within 48hours of being in school, the school should be contacted at the earliest opportunity via the office phone or the admin email address, as well as following the NHS Test and Trace instructions.

Where a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), having developed symptoms more than 48 hours since being in school, the school should not be contacted. Parents and carers should follow contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace and report this to school via the admin email address as non urgent.
