We’ve ‘bean’ busy
Mrs Sharpley and Mrs Gains - 09 May 2022
This week we have been covering lots of ground, revising all our arithmetic as well as spelling, punctuation and grammar.
We have also carried on with our fantastic class reader, Charlie and the Chocolate factory ... leaving it on a cliffhanger. Will Veruca Salt turn out to be a really bad nut and get rejected by the squirrels 🐿 ?

In Science we have started to classify and sort animals into their different types. We have also been observing how our beans have begun to germinate already (part of the cycle of sexual reproduction). We are keeping our eyes peeled to see if our experiment to reproduce geraniums asexually using cutting works. No roots yet ... but maybe next week.
In art, we finished our collage work. We are proud of the textures we created for different plants, animal fur, feathers and scales.
We are really looking forward to seeing some animals up close in our forthcoming exciting trip to Yrkshire Wildlife Park.
