Week commencing 30th November
05 Dec 2020
Hello Panther families
We are nearly at the end of our Autumn term. Miss Asker and I are very proud of how hard you have all worked. We feel very lucky to have such a super class this year.
In English, we have started looking at how to write a news report. We are using the stories we wrote about The Whale and turning them into a report. We have looked at how to use word play and puns to write an eye-catching headline and how to write a caption for a picture. We have started to plan our report using the 'boxing it up' method and everyone is creating their own success criteria for when they produce their own report. We will post some pictures of the front page news when they are complete.
In science, we continue to look at Animals including Humans and for the past couple of weeks we have been learning all about teeth. This week the children set up a fair test to find out how different liquids affect the shell of an egg. I wonder if anyone can explain to their family why we are doing this investigation and what it has to do with the human teeth?
In French we practised saying words associated with Christmas.
I wonder what you all have planned for this weekend now that we are able to get out and about a bit more freely? Whatever you are doing we hope you all have a lovely ( and safe ) weekend.
