What a Wonderful Week!

Mrs Hatch - 12 Sep 2020

Hello again Panthers and all the Panther Families.

What a joy to be back at school.  It has been great to see the old Panthers and welcome the new Panthers - Phoebe, Olivia, Daisy, Ted, Hermione, Autumn, Matilda and Charlie - into class.  Miss Asker and I have been really pleased at how everyone has settled in as we attempt to cope with the 'new normal' and all the changes and adaptations that we have made in order to keep everyone safe.

Here are some of our new routines:

Children will bring a reading book home on a Monday.  This should be kept at home until it is finished and then returned to school on a Thursday.  Any books returned will be stored in a separate place until the following week when they will be returned to the reading baskets for general use.  The children should keep their reading record at home and we hope that parents and carers will encourage their children to record their reading as usual.  We will take in the reading records just before half-term so we can see if regular reading at home is being done.  The children will have a different book at their level in school to read which will be added to the 'quarantine' box before it is returned for general use.

Children should come to school in their Forest School kit for the next three Wednesdays.  We will keep you informed if this changes.

Children should come to school in their PE kit every Thursday.  ( It was great to see that everyone remembered this last week.)

We kindly ask that no large bags or rucksacks be brought into school.  If your child has a school reading bag they may use it to bring reading books back and forth but if not we will provide a plastic wallet for this purpose.

Please provide your child with a non-spill water bottle which they can keep on their own table.  Water only please!

We will post a Panther Class timetable on our class page in the near future.

Finally, we would like to say thank you for bearing with us as we adjust to this situation.  Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
