Weekly Update - 13.3.2020

13 Mar 2020

A great week in school this week!  We have been talking lots in Panther Class about hand washing and hygiene and the importance of keeping up with this with the current health situation. Some of the children have been getting very sore/dry hands so if you wish to send some hand cream in for your child to use that’s fine.

In English this week we have been reading for a purpose and researching the Congo Rainforest ready to write our own information texts.

In Maths the Y3/4 children have looked at fractions to a whole and how to make a whole, they then consolidated all the work they have been doing on fractions with some problem solving tasks. The Y5/6 children looked at multiplying proper fractions and mixed number by whole numbers

In RE this week the children started to think about the idea of festivals and what is worth celebrating. They then thought about Christians and what is celebrated during Easter and Holy Week in particular.

In computing we started to plan a party using Excel to manage a party budget. The children really have done some amazing things on their spreadsheet files, ask them to show you at home.
